Tara & John • Lakeview Pavilion

There it is! My first wedding of the season! :o) I have to admit, spring weddings make me somewhat nervous (and I won’t ven mention how winter weddings make me feel, haha), you never know how the weather will be and what to do, when the weather won’t cooperate? Not much one can really do, and you just have to hope the couple will make the best out of it. But luckily the weather Gods were with us this time (not like during Tara’s & John’s engagement shoot, haha), and booooy was it a gorgeous day! Filled with lots of love (spring was in the air after all) :o) and many, many hugs.

Tara & John, you guys are a truly wonderful couple – I hope you don’t mind me posting some funny outtakes, I just thought they belonged in your set, as you sure knew how to make everybody smile and have a good time :o)

Tara & John held their ceremony at the Unity Church of North Easton and had an awesome party at the beauuuutiful Lakeview Pavilion afterwards (you just can’t go wrong with this venue!).

Ready? Let’s start with some getting ready photos :o)

Found one of Tara’s old dolls in her old room :o)

Excuse all the ring photos, just loved it so much :o)

And check out the heart right in the middle! Never seen this cut before, how pretty!

Sweet Michelle from Demiche did such a wonderful job <3 An artist at work … She’s definitely THE hair and make-up artist you have to book!

Beautiful Tara, the bride. Look at those pretty eyes and beautiful smile! She told me she couldn’t stop smiling, and in deed she didn’t :o)

And Mr John, the groom :o)

:o))

Tara & John decided to do a first look (have their posed photos taken before the ceremony), so we wanted to make the first moment where they see each other for the first time that day special …

So, so sweet!

This one was taken by Geneve …. Sigh, soooo pretty!

Loooooved Tara’s color palette!

:o))

This little series cracks me up. I have a feeling John’s guys had a hard time to let him go :o))

Kinda a must-have photo … just won’t get old + I’m always SO happy if the bridal party is up for it :o)

The proud parents:

I really liked the park around the library where we took the first few photos, but I just KNEW we’d have to at least ask the property owner next to the church if we could take some photos in their BEAUTIFUL garden as soon as we pulled into the church parking lot. Luckily  Tara & John have an awesome maid of honor and best man that worked their magic and BOY do I loooove the next few photos! What a setting!! (Can you imagine owning such a gorgeous garden??!!) A big big thank you to the owner of the estate to let us shoot on their property!

There is just something about this photo … maybe it’s the spark in Tara’s eye? They look just so very happy!

Aaaaaah spring! What a beautiful, beautiful day!

Couldn’t decide which one to post …. so I’ll post them both :o)

Tara & John held their ceremony at the Unity Church of North Easton

After their ceremony we took some more quick photos at the Lakeview Pavilion before they were introduced for the first time as Mrs and Mr :o)

LOVE this photo :o)

Naaaaah, gorgeous!!

And this one makes my heart beat faster!! Perfect and sooo gorgeous!!

You just really can’t go wrong when you’re booking your reception at the Lakeview Pavilion, not only is everybody there just SUPER nice, but they just make your party ook sooooo awesome! I love their interior (think they just re-did it not too long ago), the drapes … the colors …. the furniture …. their outdoor space, it’s just PERFECT for a wedding.

Loved T &’s signing “board”, the guests “engrave” their wishes on a sheet of metal! How cool and unique! I have never seen this before – I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous on their wall too!

Aaaah parent dances! They get me … esp now that we have two kids, so happy I have the best excuse to have a camera in front of my face, haha!

Hugs, hugs, and more hugs! This couple is loved and they know how to party! Huge props to Mike Amado from Entertainment Specialists to make the night unforgettable!

I LOVE this venue!

What a wedding, what a couple! Tara and John, I hope you guys had a woonderful honeymoon in Jamaica!! :o)

Kennedy, 9 months old

I seriously can’t believe how fast time just flew by! I’ve seen this girl pretty much every 3 months since she was born, and next time I see her she’ll be celebrating her first birthday, WOW! This post will be HUGE. YES! I could post fewer photos … but how does one just choose favorites from such a cute set?? Soooo many smiles, she really couldn’t have been a happier baby!

Enjoy :o)

This girl is oooon the move!! :o)

Look at her two teeth!! Sooo cute!! :o))

Sweetest foot-lover I know :o))

Oh, “hi” :o))

And a few with mommy & daddy :o)

Thanks for coming by! I am already looking forward to seeing you guys!!!! <3

Anya’s Second Birthday (Tea) Party

Oh my am I late with this post! I was soooo excited to share all the photos but boy, chasing two kids around sure keeps me on my toes … ok, Amelia doesn’t run away from me YET, haha … but sure keeps me busy :o))

Soooo, here they FINALLY are! Photos from my sweet Anya’s second birthday party :o) Loved how everything came together. She loves (and I mean LOVES!) playing tea party, so the theme was a no brainer, ha! :o)) We just had to invite some dear family members, friends and … uhm … could of course not forget her monkey :o)) I tries to keep it sweet & simple with some nice tea party touches without going over board with the “theme” :o) She definitely had a blast at our pre-birthday shoot, haha and loved all the tasty cookies and cupcakes :o)

A very happy birthday to my little girl! I can’t believe you are already two!

I call Anya “Spatz” a lot, which means “little bird / sparrow” in Swiss German, so I tried to include little birdies in the set-up too :o)

My cutie:

She loooves pouring tea :o))

Probably my favorite photo of the set :o)) Love her little eyebrows in this one :o)) She wanted to share her cookie with the birdies, haha! Love this girl :o)I just love her so much! <3And a few party photos before everybody got there :o)

Made the little cork-thingies myself, it was an easy DIY, just needed some pearls and some lace :o) Oh and I hang some pear strands off our lamp (to help showcase the cake a bit), loved how it turned out :o)

I made most of the sweets myself, you can find some of the recipes here: Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries, Chocolate Bark (with cranberries)

Thought I’d incorporate some of Anya’s photos also … just picket up some frames from Michael’s and spry painted them .. and voila :o)

Oh, … and I made some birdies also, haha .. that was quite a project, but I think they came out quite cute :o)

Don’t have an English version of the almond-moons … but let me tell you, they are taaaasty! :o)

Oh … the little plates were a DIY project also, they’re basically old vintage plates on handleholders. Easy, fun and oh so pretty!

Loved the dollies also :o)

I wasn’t too happy with the decoration of Anya’s first birthday cake, so I thought I’d do it myself this year :o))

Let me tell you, the chocolate covered kiwi-kisses were quite the hit! You gotta try making them sometime! YUM! And look at the watermelon hearts :o) I’m getting hungry, haha!

Oh … made a little banner too … :o)

Check out the cookie plate :o)

Figured I’d try to find a way to incorporate some of Anya’s first words … she loved to make up words & names :o)

Oh, and while I was at it (ha!), I figured I’d also make a little wreath :o)

That’s it! :o) Awwww … TWO years already!! :o)

Katie, 7 months pregnant

I was sooo excited when I received an email from Katie! Many women decide against a pregnancy shoot (it’s probably just because it’s not very popular), but it is suuuuch a special time in a woman’s life and every time I get an email from a soon-to-be-mommy I just SO excited SO excited FOR YOU that you’ll have that beautiful belly of yours photographed! :o)

Sooo … here we go :o) A few from Katie’s pregnancy shoot.

My personal favorite :o)

I mean seriously … you tell me, you don’t want to have a photo like this of yourself! :o)

Gorgeous, right? And look at those eyes!

Kennedy, 7 months old

Ok, I’ll admit …. I’m WAY behind my blogging … yet again … Going to catch up a bit today, and will start off my blog-mini-series with this little cutie :o)

Love her pink outfit, she just popped right off the background :o) She’s such a precious little girl :o)

Introduced her to pearl necklaces during our shoot (which she barely wanted to take off again, haha). OOooooooops :o)

LOVE her :o)

And one caus her shoot was around Valentine’s Day :o)

Thanks for visiting me, mommy, daddy & little Kennedy :o) and see you again soooooon, yay! :o)

We are waiiiiting! :o)

So, I think I’ve gone over my to-do list the third time now, haha! Our little peanut is supposed to come by the end of the week, and we are soooooo ready! :o) I wish I could count down the days until I finally get to hold our baby in my arms, but then it doesn’t want to tell me when the big day will be here, haha … so mama is waiiting and waiiiiting :o)

My email auto responder is already turned on, and I’m sorry in advance for any delayed emails from my end …. I’m probably cleaning the house and doing laundry …. haha.

I’ll keep you guys posted about our new arrival, and I’m sure there will be an overload of newborn photos once it makes it big entrance ;o)

Until then …. I hope everybody is doing well :o)

Caroline, 1 year old

While we’re still waiting for *our* baby to arrive (haha), I was able to sneak in yet an other session, this time with ADORABLE Caroline, who is turning one next weekend :o) Love this little girl :o)

I couldn’t resist posting this one, just love it, haha … what a cutie! :o))

This girl just melts my heart :o)Little firecracker :o))

She’s such a doll! :o)Happy almost first birthday, little girl! <3

Here are a few of my favorites of little Miss Anya from the last 2 months :o)

Kennedy, 6 months old

Ok, I have one more post for you guys :o) But this will be it for 2011 :o)

Mommy and Daddy agreed to squeeze in Kennedy’s shoot a bit early as I was worried about our next session conflicting with my due date, so here’s my little treat for you guys :o)

Seriously …. HOW CUTE (!) is this little girl??? :o)

This one was too cute not to share :o))

Thank You!

It’s official, my wedding / photo season is over, and I’m calling it a wrap! :o) Time to work on some albums and prepare for our new arrival in just a few weeks! Oh boy, this year just flew by, didn’t it??

With this, I want to say THANK YOU for sharing your lives with me. I had so much fun at all my engagement, wedding, lifestyle, boudoir, pregnancy and baby shoots, not to mention the pleasure I had working with so many people on their albums this year! It sure was a fun season, and that is thanks to YOU! You guys all made it so very special to me. I feel so blessed I am still in touch with so many of you, even a few years after our initial meeting – I gained not only clients but won also some wonderful friends! How lucky am I to call all this “work”?

I hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And I am already looking forward to seeing most of you guys again next year!

Big, big hugs!

Melissa & Mat | Mount Washington Hotel, Bretton Woods, NH

I somehow have a feeling I should start this blog post with “Once upon a time ….” :o) What a fun, fun wedding!!!

Melissa contacted me only a few months ago and asked if I’d consider shooting a wedding in NH, and I have to be honest, …. one usually has to convince me to do a November wedding – you just can’t ever predict the weather and I love taking the posed photos outside. BUT I met Melissa & Mat at their friends wedding that I shot last year, and dear I say …. they are BOTH 2 of the nicest couples I’ve ever met … so … how could one EVER resist + who would ever say no to a backdrop like Mount Washington??? – Right.

Well, I am pretty sure it’s safe to say that EVERYBODY had a blast that weekend, what a goooorgeous day they had! Thank you both SO much for having us photograph your very special day – Darcy and I had an absolute blast and I LOVED seeing all the bridesmaids again – how fun!! And thanks also for being up for taking photos outside … in the cold …. and the super bright sunlight (eeek) … we all know how freezing it was that day, haha! :o) You guys are an awesome couple – I’d make the trip any day to have you in front of my lens again!

I hope you guys had a woooooonderful time on St. John (boy did I envy you!!!!) and I hope you enjoy the little sneak peek before you get to see the rest of the photos hopefully later tonight :o)

Melissa & Mat held their ceremony at the St. Rose of Lima, Littleton, NH and had their reception at the gorgeous Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH.

Sweet Emma (11) & Abby (10)

My oh my! I know I don’t get to share photos taken in Colorado often enough, so I think this one is a little treatie for all of us :o) I had the HUGE pleasure to photograph 2 super sweet sisters not too long ago. I don’t get to work with kids that age very often and boy would I know for sure that they’re all as easy to photograph, would I not shoot anything but that age :o)) Thank you for being soooo sweet AND patient that day (you guys would NEVER guess how windy it was! OH MY!)

Shaleen, you’re one of the sweetest brides! I had sooo much fun with you and wanted to thank you again for bringing sunshine to our little shoot on an other rainy Cape Cod day! I actually don’t think one would ever guess it rained looking at the photos, though the sky does look a bit frightening in some of the shots, haha! Thank you, thank you, thank you for driving all the way up that weekend. I had a blast hanging out with you guys can I of course can not wait to see you Shaleen in your pretty white dress and you, Dan in your nice uniform at the Cobb Hill Estate in the pretty NH mountains. :o)

Tara & John • Engaged!

Aaaand a few from Tara & John’s shoot! You will not believe it, but I was actually worried it’d be too sunny during our shoot that day, and what did we get??? RAIN. Seriously??? I love all my couples, I’m so happy everybody just made the best out of the weather – if anything I think this couple had a bit TOO much fun … but then … I don’t think there is such a thing, right? :o)

But I do have to say – I think you guys have been together the longest (think you just had a 10 year celebration, right? Or was it 8 years?) Kim & Patrick • Engaged!

I’m sharing two posts today :o) next up are a few photos from one of my recent engagement shoots with Kim & Patrick. We had honestly the most beautiful light by the end of the session. I usually don’t shoot that late, but boooy was it pretty to have the moon in the background for some of them.

Kim and Patrick (and I think everybody that knows those 2 will agree with me) and one of the sweetest couples! I had sooo much fun with you guys and I’m already soooo looking forward to your wedding at the pretty New Seabury Country Club next year! Wohoo! :o)
