Shooting Time:
Normally I schedule about 1h for our baby shoot, babies can get really fussy tough, and there is no point in rushing things / I want you to be happy with the photos you get. Make sure your baby is well rested before you get here (or if you want to have some sleepy newborn photos make sure the baby will be tired by the time you get here). If you’re running late, no worries, a quick text message will usually do the trick. Don’t rush things the day off, your baby will feel it, feel free to nurse when you get here. Shoots usually don’t extend 2h.
Studio:
I am usually shooting either at my home or in a park / at the beach, to ensure that we have enough time & I don’t have to rush things …
What I recommend to bring in:
The necessary:
• Milk: Feel free to feed your peanut here before we start the shoot. Especially newborns fall asleep right after they got their bottle :o)
• Diapers: Bring 2 just in case :o) …. and no worries, most babies have “accidents” during the shoot, no biggie
• If you’re going to be part of the shoot, please come in with a solid colored shirt (white or black will work best)
• Bring some toys to distract the baby.
• Please bring a white blanket
Also:
• Please make sure baby’s nails are clean
• Please bring in some baby lotion if your baby is suffering from dry skin (no worries, I’ll retouch baby pimples)

Props:
There are sooo many beautiful things you can buy & bring (I’m sure you know already). For the newborns I usually prefer to shoot them either naked, or in diaper covers. That will give a nice, timeless feel (no worries, you won’t see much, but do let me know if you feel uncomfortable with that idea). However feel free to come in with some hats, headbands or any other props.
If you’re planning to get a baby / toddler shoot, please bring 3-4 outfits (we might not use them all but it’s nice to have a choice the day off).
> If you bring outfits, make sure:
• they don’t have too busy patterns, plain colors will work best
• they’re timeless / no big logos, nothing that distracts from baby’s face
• I would stay away from red (not flattering to baby’s skin tone)
• I’d stay away from winter sweaters and anything too “bulky”. The more skin we show the cuter.
